When consumers are aware of this role, and accept the responsibility, they can ensure that all required stakeholders have access to the information required for safe and cost-effective care.With an ever-growing number of touch points with providers, including telehealth and other virtual interactions, it becomes even more incumbent upon the consumer to direct the collection and use of their data. Health data must flow around the consumer.
EVH participates with communities to advance
consumer data competency.EVH is active with parties leading the consumer data cause. Our work is aligned to the Federal Health IT Strategic Plan, as authored by The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) Office of the Secretary, United States Department of Health and Human Services. EVH also maintains membership in the National Council for
Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP).We continue to stay current with data applications
